Dental Implants Perth

Perth Dental Implant Specialists

At Dental 359, we understand that your teeth can have a major impact on your day to day life. To restore your dental health and help you rebuild your confidence, we offer a range of cosmetic dental treatments that are designed to improve the quality of your smile.

If you have experienced tooth loss or damage from trauma, gingivitis or decay, dental implants could be the perfect option for you. No matter whether you’re missing a single tooth or several teeth, we can provide you with a solution that suits your needs. For those in need of complete teeth replacement, dental implants offer an alternative to traditional, removeable dentures. Made to look and function like natural teeth, the implants will bond to your jawbone, becoming a permanent part of your smile.

To find out if dental implants are right for you, book in for a consultation at our Subiaco clinic. Our dentist Doctor Hooman Golestani has been practicing in Perth for over 30 years and will be able to provide you with professional guidance on what will work best for you.

Before & After Implants

For us, there’s nothing more rewarding than watching a patient experience their new smile for the first time. It’s the moment where we realise that we’ve made a difference in someone’s life by helping them to make a positive change. Here are some of our patients who have gone through the process of getting dental implants.

How do dental implants work?

When you lose one or more teeth, we will firstly need to replace the tooth roots with dental implants. Made from titanium, the implants behave like natural roots by fusing with your jawbone, creating a foundation to attach the artificial teeth or ‘crowns’. We only use implants manufactured by Nobel Biocare, a world leading innovator in implant-based dental restorations.

Dr Golestani will screw the implants into your jawbone during a simple surgical procedure that will take place at an A-grade hospital in Perth. Depending on whether you require a single tooth implant, multiple teeth or All-On-4® implants, the crowns may be secured within a few days or in 3-6 months’ time.

To provide the best results, we offer two types of dental crowns. Emax crowns can be combined with porcelain to create realistic looking teeth that will blend in nicely with your existing set, while Zirconia crowns offer a more strong and durable solution, making them ideal to use at the back of your mouth to help with chewing and grinding food.

Once all phases of the treatment are complete and your mouth has fully healed, you will have full use of your new pearly whites as if they were your natural adult teeth.

What are your dental implant options?

Dr. Golestani can recommend the most suitable treatment for you depending on your needs. From preventing teeth movement and bone loss to aiding your ability to bite and chew all varieties of food, dental implants may be the solution for you and help in improving your health and wellbeing as well as improving the aesthetics of your smile.

Single Tooth Implant

image clearly showing a single dental implant If you have a missing or irreparable tooth, we can replace the tooth root with a single dental implant. Even if you are experiencing issues with multiple teeth in different areas of your mouth, our dentist can complete as many single tooth implants as you need. As a single tooth implant will not have any impact on your surrounding teeth, it offers an effective, long term solution for one-off tooth replacements.

We can perform this minimally invasive procedure under local anaesthetic at our Subiaco clinic, but if you are feeling nervous about the treatment, we can complete your surgery at a private Perth hospital instead. Once we have placed the titanium implant in your jaw, we will need to wait for the area to fully heal before applying the crown, which may take 3-6 months. We will place an abutment over the implant for protection during the healing period, with follow up appointments to monitor your progress and fit your crown.

Multiple Teeth Implants

image clearly showing a multiple dental implant When you have several teeth missing in a row, it will be far easier to replace all of them at once with a bridge, as opposed to performing a series of single implants. With an implant-supported bridge, we place two or more titanium screws in your jaw to replace the tooth roots, then attach a series of crowns that are fixed to one another, filling the gap left by the missing teeth. Much like a single tooth implant, there will be a healing period where the implants will fuse with the jawbone before the crowns are attached.

Unlike fixed dental bridges and removable partial dentures, an implant-supported bridge does not need to rely on your surrounding teeth for strength and stability. As the crowns are secured to the implants and attached to one another, it will not cause any damage to your existing teeth. Multiple teeth implants can also help to preserve your jawbones, ensuring you have full functionality of your mouth and jaw.

All-On-4® Dental Implants

zoomed out image clearly showing a dental implant progressFor those in need of major restorative dental work, our All-On-4® dental implants may be a more suitable solution. As single tooth implants and implant-supported bridges use one or more titanium screws to bond with your jawbone, these options may not be as effective if you have significant bone loss or damage.

All-On-4® is an innovative treatment that will provide you with a full set of permanent teeth in as little as 1-3 days. During a surgical procedure, Dr Golestani will insert a series of implants into your jaw and attach a denture or ‘arch’ that is fitted with prosthetic teeth. We can use one or two implant arches on your upper or lower jaw, or we can apply four arches that will replace all of the natural teeth in your mouth. Depending on your unique circumstances, we may be able to secure the arch to the implant on the same day.

Once you have been fitted with your arches, you will need to follow a soft diet for 12 weeks while your mouth heals. To help you through this process, we will provide you with meal guidance and a recipe book to ensure you continue to get sufficient nutrients and protein from your diet.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The price of our All-On-4® Implants can vary, and are based per arch and on the complexity of your situation. Your fee includes the surgery, the cost of the implants and 12 weeks’ worth of post-operative care, ensuring you will get the best possible results from your dental implants.

To help make it easier to pay for treatment, we offer payment plans through National Dental Plan and Pretty Penny Finance. For urgent cases, our team can assist you to access your superannuation based on compassionate grounds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are dental implants painful?

When your surgery is completed by a dental specialist, your implants should not cause you any pain. With meticulous planning, we ensure the implant will be placed in the right position without causing any long-term side effects. As the treatment does involve a surgical procedure, you can expect some bruising and swelling and temporary tenderness to the gums that can be easily managed with Panadol.

What can be done to minimise discomfort?

We will either use a local or general aesthetic to complete your treatment, depending on the complexity of your procedure, and will provide you with Panadol to use when the anaesthesia wears off.

The implant site should be iced for a minimum of 3-12 hours after surgery to help reduce inflammation and you will need to keep the area as clean as possible. Our team will provide you with post-operative instructions that will assist you.

Throbbing pain is not normal following the placement of a dental implant. If you are experiencing pain, it’s possible your dentist didn’t place your implant in the optimal position. Alternatively, you may have an infection or a pulled suture. If you are experiencing any pain, please contact your dentist immediately.

How much does dental implants cost?

Once an examination has taken place and an x-ray has been reviewed by our dentist, we can provide an accurate estimate of total fees and discuss payment plan options if needed. The price of dental implants will depend on the complexity of your individual situation.

What is the cost of All-On-4® dental implants?

The complete procedure is dependant on your personal situation, it is based off the arch and complexity of the procedures. Your fee includes the diagnostic phase, surgery, the fixed permanent bridge and 12 weeks’ worth of post-operative care. We offer a comprehensive package that provides a long-term solution, ensuring you receive maximum value from your investment.

Can I replace all of my teeth with dental implants?

Our revolutionary All-On-4® treatment can be used to replace all of your teeth. If you have a several teeth missing in one part of your mouth, then a fixed implant-supported bridge may be an ideal solution. In situations where you only have a single tooth missing, we can perform a one-off implant for you.

Here at Dental 359 we only use the highest quality products and materials from Nobel Biocare, offering a lifetime guarantee on all of our dental implants.
